Dr. Torri Metz's commitment is to advance the treatment of individuals during pregnancy. She focuses on the care and management of patients with chronic medical conditions during pregnancy. Outside of work, Dr. Metz enjoys time with her family, exploring the vast array of outdoor activities that Utah has to offer, from hiking to skiing.

As a clinical researcher, she explores significant topics such as the effects of cannabis use during pregnancy on both mother and newborn, maternal cardiac disease, and reducing maternal morbidity and mortality. Dr. Metz is recognized as a national expert in Maternal-Fetal medicine.

Dr. Metz completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder before earning her MD at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She then specialized in Obstetrics & Gynecology during her residency at the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Metz furthered her expertise with a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and participated in the NIH-Sponsored Clinical and Translational Science Training Program, both at the University of Utah School of Medicine, earning an MS in Clinical Investigation.

She holds board certifications from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Metz is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as the Vice Chair for Research in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Division Chief for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
