William Peche, MD, is an assistant professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Utah and the Section Chief for General Surgery at the Salt Lake City VA. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Peche earned a medical degree from the University of Iowa, completing an internship at Atlanta Medical Center and a residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine, both in general surgery. He also completed a colorectal surgery fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
