Dr. Zaker Schwabkey is a physician and an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Clinical Investigator in the Division of Hematology & Hematologic Malignancies at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute. He specializes in the treatment of myeloid neoplasms, with a focus on acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN).

Dr. Schwabkey is actively involved in clinical and translational research in his areas of expertise, and his work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international scientific conferences. He is also deeply committed to medical education and plays an integral role in training the next generation of physicians.

He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in genomic and cancer medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
