Anna Maslach-Hubbard, MD

  • Dr. Maslach-Hubbard received her medical degree from Jagiellonian University Medical College and completed her combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric residency program at Marshfield Clinic/St. Josephs Hospital, Marshfield, Wisconsin. Her Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship was completed at the University of Michigan. After completion of fellowship, she joined the faculty at the University of Utah. Dr. Hubbard is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.




    She is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Primary Children’s Medical Center. She is the Medical Director of the Pediatric ECMO program for the Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU) and the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive care unit (CICU). She serves as a Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services at Primary Children’s Hospital.


    Her specific clinical and academic interests are related to further development and improvement of pediatric ECMO program and Respiratory Care Services. She is actively involved in ECMO QI system that identifies opportunities and develops strategies to optimize ECMO related patient care in our PICU. Other clinical projects she is involved in include revision and development of ECLS and Respiratory protocols and further development of the training program for faculty, fellows, ECMO primers and nurses through a series of lectures and simulation program. Future projects and goals also include development of pediatric ECMO transport system for Intermountain Region. Her research focus is on evaluation of specific clinical practices in ECMO patients.
