Improve health care with us
We believe you play an important role in shaping all aspects of health care. We partner with patients, families, caregivers, and the community to design health care that is compassionate, personalized, and coordinated.
One of the ways we design together is through our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), Advise Utah, and other system-level focus groups. These groups provide feedback to directly improve health care.
ABOUT ADVISE UTAH
Advise Utah is an online community of patients, families, and caregivers (called Advisors) from the Intermountain West who provide feedback on U of U Health projects in monthly surveys. Feedback from these surveys is used to inform decisions and improve our health care system.
We welcome all adults to share their perspectives, including:
- Patients
- Family members
- Caregivers
- Community members and leaders
- People who are passionate about improving health care
Advisors:
- Review background information provided in the surveys
- Use their experiences to answer questions about projects and initiatives
In turn, we will:
- Make it easy to participate and provide feedback
- Respect the different perspectives that Advisors bring to the conversation; we listen to what Advisors have to say whether it is positive or negative
- Update Advisors on the impact of their feedback
MEMBERSHIP
Advisors respond to monthly surveys focused on a variety of health care topics. Advisors are typically sent 1 short survey each month and typically given a week to respond. Surveys take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. There is no term length for participating in Advise Utah, however, Advisors may opt out of participation at any time.
