  • Dr. Wheeler is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics working within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Utah.     Dr. Wheeler’s clinical interest is focused on motility disorders including achalasia, dysphagia, Hirschsprung disease, pseudo-obstruction, encopresis, and severe constipation. Dr. Wheeler is the Medical Director of the Motility Disorders Program at Primary Children’s Hospital with specialty testing and management of children with motility disorders, the only such program in the Intermountain West. Dr. Wheeler’s research interests include the epidemiology of motility disorders, clinical utility of EndoFLIP testing for patients with dysphagia, and improvement in management and follow-up of chronic constipation. Dr. Wheeler is a native of Utah, and he is fluent in Spanish.
