Molly took time to explain the change in procedure to wrap my foot continuing with Medihoney and to start using mepilex and to include a protein supplement to encourage healing. All questions were answered. Rhonda also took time to visit and gave some encouraging ideas in regards to walking and whether or not to continue with the AFO for the next few weeks. I left excited about the potential healing of. my wounds after the input from both of them.

The doctor seemed nice enough but he was very rushed and he kept cutting me off mid sentence. I understand some doctors "know all" but you should let your patient (or parent of the patient) finish before you start talking. It makes them feel like you are actually listening.

the nurse and PA were so great and the PA that had been my burn person in the ER came in to say hi and see how I was doing. I felt so comfortable and like everyone was really doing the best things for me.

They just roughly pulled my baby's dead skin off. It obviously hurt her. They didn't cut it off carefully. I was too stunned trying to comfort my distraught baby girl to object, besides, aren't they supposed to be experts? But I could have done better myself at home.

Dr. Lewis was not scheduled to see me during this visit but she took time to come in to see how I was doing and to look at my wounds. She is always encouraging and is specific with her instructions so there are no questions on what I am to do until our next visit. Everyone works so well together to provide for the patients. I love it at wound care!

Our care provider has been very informative and professional in her interaction with us. There have been several different approaches used in my healing process, some better suited than others, but with each approach there is an explanation with potential results explained. Then there is a reevaluation during the next visit to see what needs to change or what we need to continue. I always have confidence in the care provided.

We have been to the outpatient burn clinic three different times and each time we have seen a different PA. Each time we have to start over a little bit, explaining who we are, where we drive from, and reviewing the care and treatment we have already received. We have been given new treatments and/or medications each visit. Maybe this is because we are progressing and healing and the treatment needs to change. We have appreciated each PA and what they have contributed to our care.

my only complaint is that there was a miscommunication between the PT and the girl who wrapped Adeline's hand. This caused my daughters hand to be unwrapped and re wrapped three separate times. she screamed through all 3 wrappings.
