Zach is a Nurse Practitioner in the department of nephrology at the University of Utah. He graduated with his BSN from Hawaii Pacific University. Shortly after graduation, he completed a critical care internship at the University of Utah and an oncology nurse residency at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. He then practiced as a critical care nurse before returning to school at the University of Utah. Zach graduated from the University of Utah with a doctorate of nurse practice, emphasizing adult, and gerontology acute care. He is board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and holds national certifications in critical care and oncology nursing.
