Dr. Matsen and her nurse Geri were amazing and supportive. My cancer is DCIS so it is not life threatening, but it is a significant issue for me. Both Dr. Matsen and Geri treated me and my concerns with great respect.

Dr. Matsen was one of the best providers I have ever seen, hands down. I felt cared for, listened to, and she wrote down her explanations of the condition I had. Breast cancer risk and my condition were explained thoroughly, and in a compassionate and easy to understand manner. She made herself accessible, and even had her nurse come in and speak with me and provide her contact information (the nurses's information). They were actually concerned about my social situation/lack of human connection and isolation over the holidays, given the year that I've had with suicide risk. A very compassionate practice. I would highly recommend this provider.

Dr. Matsen was excellent in explaining my diagnosis, treatment options, and setting up a care plan. As we discussed all the information she would ask if I had questions and offered me plenty of time to voice my concerns. Before the appointment ended she gave me information to review and set up testing for further evaluation.

Dr. Matsen and her whole staff exceeded my expectations in every regard. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of time she took to thoroughly answer my questions in accessible language with kindness and patience. I have never in my life met a surgeon who better blends the talents of communication and medical information. I cannot day enough wonderful things about her. She looked at records from another facility and, being unsatisfied with the lack of information, ordered the appropriate tests to make informed treatment decisions. I applaud her professionalism and efficacy.

Dr Matsen is amazing! she literally spent over 2 hours with me making sure I understood about my breast cancer and helped me make the best surgical treatment plan for me. I felt extremely comfortable with her as a surgeon and provider. she even called me by phone the following day to discuss some of my genetic testing that came back after the appointment. The Doctor was very thorough and careful in explaining my condition, treatment options, expected treatment timeline, and recovery. She spent as much time as was needed to address concerns and questions. She showed us my MRI and explained it to us. She made arrangements for me to get all of the additional testing procedures done before leaving and scheduled my surgery for the soonest available time.

I am so impressed with the care that I have already been given. This was my first appointment since learning that I have cancer and every step was handled with kindness, care and with the time needed to build a relationship. I never felt rushed. I was listened to and heard.Every staff member I met looked at me when both speaking and listening, not at a computer screen. I can not explain how much that means to me. I was important, not invisible. Wow! What a different experience.

I LOVED the booklet of info Dr. Matsen provided for me - it had all the notes and words in there so we circled or added side notes, but I didn't have to take notes and spell things incorrectly and I have the information for a reference to keep forever! This experience was among the very best I've ever had with a medical provider in my 25 years as an adult. As a registered nurse myself, I have high standards and this clinic exceeded them. FIrst, I met with Dr. Mathew Morgan. He was wonderful in explaining my mammo results and in answering all of my questions. He was unhurried and kind. Dr. Matsen was also awesome! I appreciated Dr. Matson's concern for my daughter in relation to her age, changing body during growth, etc. I also appreciated the ultrasound and biopsy team. Everyone explained each step in the process, both the biology for my daughters specific issue and equipment used for her procedure.
