Alex Truong, DNP, is a Nurse Practitioner at the University of Utah Hospital, Division of Internal Medicine. As a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Clinician Fellow, his interests include early diagnosis and treatment of acute and complex conditions in the hospital setting. He is interested in cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, critical care, and emergency medicine.
Truong received his bachelor's in nursing from the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2016. He continued to advance his education and received his Doctorate in Nursing Practice specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care from the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2023. He is currently a post-graduate APC Fellow and receiving training in medicine with the Division of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. In the past, Truong served as an Emergency Department Charge Nurse at the University of Utah Hospital. He is board-certified as an Adult and Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
