Taylor Woodrow, MMS, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in transplant surgery and advanced hepatobiliary care. She provides expert care for liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as those undergoing complex hepatobiliary procedures. Taylor manages patients on both the inpatient floor and intensive care unit, ensuring comprehensive care throughout their surgical journey. In the operating room, she serves as a first assist in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries.
Taylor holds dual credentials, allowing her to assist in pediatric kidney transplant surgeries at Primary Children’s Medical Center and care for oncologic transplant patients at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Her expertise extends to living donor kidney and liver transplants, transplant oncology, and advanced liver, biliary, and pancreas surgery.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Utah before completing her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania.
Taylor’s research focuses on improving transplant patient outcomes, including:
- Organ access in high-acuity transplant patients
- Evolution and expansion of Transplant Surgery Advanced Practice Providers in pre- and post-transplant care
- Relapse prevention after liver transplantation
Originally from Park City, Utah, Taylor returned to Salt Lake City after her studies to enjoy the state’s stunning outdoor landscapes. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her daughter and friends, as well as gardening, traveling, and cooking.
