Abbey received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of Utah in 2018. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for 5 years at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. She attended the University of Utah’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program and graduated from the Family Practice Specialty in 2024. Her graduate work was focused on creating and implementing a Goals of Care simulation for Nurse Practitioner Students to gain exposure to having difficult conversations with trained actors acting as patients. She spends most of her free time with her family and friends, reading her Kindle and listening to audiobooks, playing board games, out on the lake wakeboarding and wakesurfing, and taking naps whenever she can.
