  • Katie Farrenkopf joined the Pulmonary Division in 2022 as a nurse practitioner. She has been with the University of Utah since 2017. She works alongside several physicians and pharmacists that specialize in an array of lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease. Katie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Utah.

    Katie received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Utah in 2017. She has nursing experience in Heart Failure, General Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. She currently works primarily with asthma and general dyspnea patients.

    She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. In her free time, Katie enjoys skiing, running, cooking, and spending time with her fiancé. Katie is currently accepting new patients at the Farmington Health Center, Sugarhouse Health Center, and Main Hospital (E10) Clinic.

    Katie is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. Asthma is one of her specialties and it is apparent in the way she works through meds and scenarios to make sure things are well controlled. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone dealing with long term asthma issues.
