Dr. Trahern W. (“TW”) Jones received his medical degree from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. He subsequently completed his pediatrics residency training at the University of Arizona, in Tucson, Arizona. He also served as chief resident for the program. He then completed subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dr. Jones is currently an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. His clinical interests include general pediatric infectious diseases, tropical medicine, zoonotic diseases, and parasitology.

Dr. Jones is also interested in research and quality improvement in medical education. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he provides clinical and didactic instruction for the University of Utah School of Medicine.
