  • Nathan R. Blue, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Blue has an active clinical practice that includes both highly specialized consultative care as well as prenatal care for those with complex pregnancies. He has carried out research and published on the management of preeclampsia, preterm birth, stillbirth, and fetal growth restriction. His ongoing research interests focus on developing personalized prenatal risk assessment tools to better empower families and clinicians when faced with uncertain situations.

    Dr. Blue received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, followed by a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Los Angeles County – USC Medical Center, where he developed a passion for research and caring for underserved patients. He completed a fellowship at the University of New Mexico and was a University of Utah Health Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) K12 scholar from 2018-2022. Dr. Blue is also fluent in Spanish and has enjoyed working with Spanish speaking populations. He is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

    Dr. Blue is caring, attentive, and easygoing all in one. We have a high risk pregnancy and he listens to and addresses our concerns, answers ALL questions no matter how big or small, and takes care to explain/weigh options with us.
