  • Gabriel Fette, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor (Clinical), from Denton, Texas, earned his Medical Degree and Master's of Public Health from Tulane University School of Medicine and School of Public Health, respectively, in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2014. Prior to medical school, Dr. Fette (rhymes with confetti) completed his undergraduate training at Tulane University studying Cell and Molecular Biology and Sociology.

    Dr. Fette completed residencies in the combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry program at Tulane, where he proudly served as Chief Resident for the Med/Psych residency in his final year. During training, he also won the 2017 Association of Medicine and Psychiatry's national conference vignette competition. Dr. Fette's professional interests include teaching in the hospital, "whole-person" care through treatment of comorbid medical and psychiatric pathology, the med/psych unit, inpatient consult psychiatry, behavioral activation, and the recognition and navigation of polypharmacy.

    At U Health, Dr. Fette is credentialed with both the Psychiatry and Internal Medicine Departments and staffs the inpatient Consult Psychiatry team as well as inpatient Med/Psych unit. Dr. Fette is board-certified in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine and he's thrilled to be part of the U of U faculty provider team.
