    Dr. Gavern is an attending physician at the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital where he manages an inpatient service dedicated to the rehabilitation care of medically complex patients including patients with transplant, amputee, poly-trauma, neuromuscular and cancer diagnoses.

    As a provider in the outpatient Neurorehabilitation clinic Dr. Gavern specializes in spasticity management, electrodiagnostics, peripheral nerve injuries and the care of neurologically complex patients. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Utah, where he served as chief resident. He has particular interest in research work focusing on patient safety and quality improvement.
