Brett Myers, PhD, CCC-SLP

  • Brett Myers is an Associate Professor (Clinical) and the Director of Clinical Education for Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. He completed a B.A. in Psychology and Voice & Speech (McDaniel College, 2010), an M.A. in Communication Sciences & Disorders (University of Iowa, 2013), and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Hearing & Speech and Psychology (Vanderbilt University, 2019).

    As a clinical faculty member, Brett instructs and supervises graduate students in conducting behavioral treatment of voice disorders. Brett also serves as Digital Associate Editor for the Psychonomic Society. Brett's research interests include cognitive processes in speech production, motor control of voice and speech, and treatment modalities in voice disorders.

    Outside of the clinic, Brett is an actor, director, and dialect coach for stage productions. He enjoys traveling and visiting his friends and family across the country.

    Brett Myers was great! He was so helpful in my voice training journey and I wouldn¿t have been able to achieve my voice goals without him. He always knows exactly what the problem is and how to fix it, and he explains everything clearly and concisely. He¿s also so supportive and nice!
