Dr. Eleni Miller was very knowledgeable about my kids' symptoms and prescribed the correct amount of oral dosage treatment. I administered the medicine right away and my kids were able to sleep without vomiting and did so well. However, Dr. Miller was correct that my spouse and I would eventually get sick since my kids got the stomach flu, extremely contagious. Encourage lots of handwashing and fluids, and to let it run its course - flush the bug out.

She even sent us follow up messages the next day via MyChart. Which was thanksgiving day. So it was very nice to know she cared enough to reach out even on a holiday. My daughters health isn't well, and I feel Dr. Miller is very invested as we try to figure this out!

I realize that 12 year old well child check ups are when kids get to talk with their doctor alone and that this practice stems for a desire to look for results and protect children who could be being abused. I remember doing this at a later age when I was a teenager. However the conversation with her doctor at her well child was very upsetting to my daughter. She was uncomfortable with the questions about her gender and also mentioned she felt pressured to have something to talk about with the doctor that she was uncomfortable sharing. Thankfully my daughter and I have a good relationship and could talk about what went on and discuss why the doctor asked the questions she did. However it was a very uncomfortable experience for her. As parents we teach our kids that when other adults ask them to keep secrets from us it's a red flag and they should tell us or someone they trust. I think this sort of behind the doors questioning set of those feelings of, "this doesn't feel right". I hope it doesn't create a feeling of distrust with her for doctors. I wish that their was a better way we could help kids stay safe.

Dr. Miller goes out of her way to empower her patients and include parents in their care. So glad to have her as a provider. She knew just what to do to help my son. Also so grateful for her case manger Lindsay King who has gone out of her way to advocate for our son and help us find resources for his issue.
