As a parent, you are dedicated to your child and their health. Getting your child the best care starts with regular check-ups. Our care team at a location near you will provide care targeted to meet your child’s needs. Our providers develop one-on-one relationships with parents and families so you can feel comfortable with your child’s doctor.

From birth to age two, we will see your child many times. Then from ages two through the teen years, we will see them once a year for well-child visits. We are also here for all those bumps, bruises, injuries, and colds along the way.

We have a team of providers that can care for your child: family and internal medicine (IM/PED) providers and, of course pediatricians, are all trained to care for your child.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Well-child checkups are something you should schedule for your child at least once a year. Well-child checks ensure your child is meeting important developmental milestones and that their health is on track. When you bring your child to an appointment you can expect us to do these things:

  • Give your child a physical exam and regular screenings.
  • If needed, give your child vaccinations (immunizations and booster shots).
  • Make sure they meet milestones in growth, behavior, and skills.
  • Diagnose and treat your child's illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health problems.
  • Conduct health screenings for preventative medicine.
  • Give you information about your child's health, safety, nutrition, and fitness needs.
  • Answer your questions about their growth and development.
  • Refer you to specialists if we think your child needs specialized care.

Ages for Well Child Visits*

We recommend that you bring your child in for wellness appointments with their doctor at these ages:

  • Three-four days
  • Two weeks
  • Two months
  • Four months
  • Six months
  • Nine months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 24 months (two years)
  • 30 months

At Three years of age or older, you can bring them in once a year.

*Please note that some children will require a different schedule and we encourage a prenatal visit, especially for first time parents.

Children's Immunization Schedule

Immunizations are important to keep your child healthy. Our recommended schedule below follows that of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Immunization schedules change from time to time. Your child’s pediatrician will notify you of any changes in the schedule or recommendations. Please bring your child’s immunization record to every visit in case dates need to be confirmed, new immunizations are needed, or your record needs to be updated.

General Ages for Immunizations

Some children will require a different schedule and we encourage a prenatal visit.
