  • Dr. Farhana Ali received her medical degree from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). She completed her Pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and returned to San Diego for her Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship with UCSD/ Rady Children’s Hospital. She then pursued additional fellowship training in Advanced Nutrition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Pediatric Gastroenterology division at University of Utah. Her clinical interests primarily entail malnutrition, short bowel syndrome, and pediatric intestinal failure. She has a keen interest in the development of an intestinal rehabilitation program to promote a multidisciplinary approach in the long-term management of children with intestinal failure and their complex medical and nutritional needs.
