  • Dr. Lauren Lee is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Microbiology & Cell Science were awarded summa cum laude from the University of Florida. Dr. Lee completed her medical training at the University of Florida College of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society before commissioning into the United States Air Force which took her to San Antonio for Internal Medicine Residency, Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship along with additional training in Bone Marrow Transplantation.

    With an interest in medical education, Dr. Lee served as Chief of Internal Medicine Residents and later became a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine and a Core Teaching Faculty member for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Hem/Onc Fellowship Program. During her military service with the 59th Medical Wing, she took a special interest in developing radiation injury plans for joint special operators and later served as the Chief of Hematology/Oncology and the Director for Bone Marrow Transplantation at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Lee has several publications, she has been a PI for various cancer clinical trials, and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal prior to completing her military service as a Lieutenant Colonel. Choosing to continue her service in a different capacity, Dr. Lee joined the Huntsman Cancer Institute in September 2024. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and has an interest in expanding community access to Cellular Therapies.
