  • Dr. Krishnamurty is an expert in the minimally invasive treatment of colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal and pelvic floor disorders. Shee is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah who specializes in colon and rectal surgery. Her academic interests include quality improvement in colon and rectal surgery as well as the implementation of enhanced recovery protocols to minimize pain and improve recovery following surgery.

    Following medical school at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, Dr. Krishnamurty completed her General Surgery training at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska. She then completed a chief residency in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement and a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Washington University- Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis MO. Dr. Krishnamurty joined the University of Utah Health Care following 9 years of practice at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

    Dr. Krishnamurty enjoys time outside of work by spending time with her husband and two kids.
