This was a complicated appointment where much information needed clarification. Much of the situation was explained in more detail than from the first post-surgical appointment. A clear long term plan was outlined clearly.

I appreciated that he took the necessary steps with testing to understand my lung problems. I felt he was determined to get to the bottom of the problem showing up on two former CT scans conducted after my radiation treatments, and taking into account my history of Pulmonary embolisms. I appreciated his thorough approach.
Needed more personal touch with diagnosis. Due to the long wait between your findings and the next treatment makes it hard to believe that anything will change. Everyday is a struggle.
Even though I had to wait for my appointment for a while I still appreciate the care and respect Dr. Iravani showed to me. Even though I didn't have very good news from my scan he was very proactive and caring to make sure we do everything possible to find out what the problems could be and how to resolve some of them.

Dr. Iravani is an excellent physician. He listened to me as I talked about my concerns, and walked me through the various test results so I would understand exactly what was going on with my health. He was humorous, easy to talk with, listened to me without showing any impatience. Dr. Iravani helped me to understand what I can do for myself and what he and my other care providers can do for me. I left his office with a better understanding, and with increased optimism that I can help my self to recover as much as I can, and to realize that there is no miracle cure but symptoms that I will have to deal with throughout my life.

Dr. Iravani inquired further about my medical history as we began my consultation session. He listened and asked clarifying questions. He then showed me some of my CT scans and pointed out the nodules that others were referencing from my previous sessions with other doctors and health professionals. He also was able to understand my referral to him better due to my cancer history and treatment. He proposed a future plan for monitoring these nodules and watching for other potential developments from my previous cancer due to its unknown areas of possible metastasizing to my lungs and liver. I would absolutely recommend him to friends and family members who require his expertise.

Dr. Marshall Smith & Dr. Aidan Iravani we're awesome! Dr. Iravani made a special trip to the clinic to see me. That is impressive! These two are the only doctors pretty much anywhere who will see me due to my extremely complicated health issues with my trachea. It's been 17 years since a doctor in Boston said I was a gonner and yet Dr. Smith and Dr. Iravani have managed to beat the odds & keep me alive with a pretty good quality of life considering my health limitations. Previously Dr. Mark Elstad was also involved in my care. All three of these doctors are miracle workers! Plus the LISTEN to my wife and I on every visit. They never talk down to us either and that is refreshing. I HAVE recommended the U of U Airway Clinic to others!
Dr. Iravani did a great job of taking me through test results, making sure that I understood and left room for questions. He also made sure I understood next steps and made sure that I had a follow up call the same day to work on scheduling my next appointment.

Dr. Iravani quickly realized that I had the technical background to discuss the information from the various scans in great detail. He clearly explained his thought process in reviewing the scans. He then described the options I had in following up what we had learned and spelled out the options I had for further treatment. He allowed me to pick an option which I was comfortable with.
