Happy to drive 14 extra miles roundtrip to see Dr. Sorenson. Staff, facility, and experience all top notch. Little to no wait time, staff listened to my request for a cancellation and called me the next day to see the doctor, they had a cancellation. I'm worried about singing her praises too much, because the wait to see her may get too long. Highly recommend her and her practice.

I had a weird bump on my jawline. Ally was able to fit me in her schedule (due to a cancellation). She removed the bump and sent it in to the lab. The procedure was completely painless. She explained to me exactly what she was doing all of the time. I was in and out of the office in just a few minutes. I really appreciated that she was able to see me, took care of the problem, and I was on my way -- especially at such a busy time of year. Ally Sorensen was incredible! She listened to my concerns and addressed them in an empathetic way showing she cared and wanted me to be taken care of both physically and mentally. The last time I saw her, she issued two subscriptions, both of which were well over $100 each, one of which my insurance refused to cover after a few refills, saying they did not consider it effective (it wasn't). Actually neither did much, and the one prescribed for 2x daily was refillable only twice in a year. Same thing this year, only insurance wouldn't cover the shampoo ($55/small bottle) at all. I have ve"ry good insurance that covers almost anything. Your practitioners should be more aware of costs and coverage. She did remove a non malignant growth on my face that I found annoying (when I specifically asked if she could), but I'd pointed it out before and she hadn't mentioned it could be removed. Allie is very personable - I really like her - but I'll be going elsewhere next year.

I didn't realize that I was seeing a PA vs a MD until after my appointment. Ally was excellent at listening and I'd like to assume was also good at diagnosing. Her assistant was outstanding in obtaining my past records. I don't use non MD practitioners for my primary care. I would return to Ally if there weren't any MD dermatologists available - but will always choose an MD if available.

Saw Allyson for yearly checkup and it was my first time ever to a dermatologist. She was nice and made me feel comfortable, but the visit was done in less than 10 minutes I guess I expected more. I read through her summary notes in MyChart and there are some things that say were discussed with me that weren't, so I looked them up on the internet to find out what they were. Maybe a bit more time should have been spent discussing things?

She is thorough, explains everything she is doing, asks if I want to move forward with what she is prescribing, makes sure I am comfortable, always asks how I'm doing as she performs the treatments, and she is so friendly and nice and makes you feel at ease from the moment she enters the room.

This was my first visit with Dr. Sorensen, she is very friendly, yet professional. She did a very complete head to toes exam, but did not just rush through it. I was quite pleased with the approach to dermatology and appreciate that she is willing to think out of the box for treatments. Allyson Sorenson is the most friendly and engaging medical professional I have had the pleasure of working with since I moved to Utah. She has the ability to complete her examination without you even knowing she is examining every inch of your body. I am a hug fan!

Thank you Ally for listening to me today. I had been dealing with a horrible skin infection for two weeks before seeing her. I was very concerned and frustrated. She listened to my concerns and let me know that we were going to take care of what was going on with my body. I had asked two other Dr if we should culture my infection both of them said no. The first thing Ally said to me was lets culture it so we can make sure and get the right antibiotic. I didn't tell her my degree is in Microbiology so I knew why it was important to culture it. I was dismissed by the other Dr and the whole time they should have listened. I might not had to come to Ally if they had. I was thankful for her taking the time to explain everything to was going to happen during the visit. I have anxiety especially in Dr offices she calmed my mind. It has been only 2 days and my infection has decreased and is no longer irritated. Thank you for taking the time to fit me in your busy schedule.
