Alyssa S. Hickert, MD

Alyssa Hickert, MD, Assistant Professor (Clinical), earned her medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE, where she also completed residency in general psychiatry. She served as chief resident in her final year of residency. She completed a consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship (formerly psychosomatic medicine), with specialty focus in perinatal psychiatry, at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN. Her areas of interest include perinatal/reproductive psychiatry, the intersection of mental and physical health, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Dr. Hickert practices clinically as an inpatient adult psychiatrist at the University's Huntsman Mental Health Institute. She is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
