This was my first appointment with April although I have been a patient in the rheumatology clinic for 5 1/2 years. She did an amazing job of listening to me, taking in a lot of information, and ordering what seem to me the appropriate testing. She communicated well to me what she thought might be going on and how she would follow up on the labs. I left the appointment feeling like my health, especially at a time where things were unstable and concerning, was in good hands. I also really liked her as a person, found that she had a really good way of interacting with patients and putting me at ease.

She was difficult to talk to and more interested in cleaning up my chart than addressing my concerns. She doesn't seem to be able to handle anything outside of the "normal" presentation of any disease. I told her my symptoms had changed but she didn't even do a physical exam until after she had made her decision and I rejected it, *then* she seemed to be looking for some other explanation. She seemed to latch on to a superlative I used in our discussion rather than my actual symptoms. She made an insulting conclusion that my sudden-onset hand, feet, and knee pain was caused by my inactivity level, and thus I just needed to exercise.
She was incredibly thorough, very patient, and far more knowledgeable than most of the doctors I encounter.

I would highly recommend April Conlon as a provider. I felt listened to and taken seriously. You can tell she really cares about helping her patients and gets their input in places she can. She took the time to answer questions, and to explain the possibilities of what could be going on. She followed up about my health concerns, and took me very seriously.
She had empathy for my pain, and ran an examination and then tests promptly. An Rx was ordered, and I picked it up and started that evening. I was treated as if I were her brother.
