  • Ashok K. Tuteja, M.D., M.P.H., M.R.C.P. received his medical degree from Delhi University. He did his internal medicine residency in England where he was awarded Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (M.R.C.P.). He received his Masters in Public Health from Oregon Health Sciences University. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Colorado.
    His clinical interests include irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, constipation, fecal incontinence, anal disorders, probiotics, biofeedback and colonoscopy. He has a special interest in bowel disorders in people who travel abroad. Dr. Tuteja’s main area of research is in the role of a change in intestinal bacteria during deployment or travel in causing a chronic change in bowel habits. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and referees scientific publications for several medical journals.

    Dr. Tuteja is a highly knowledgeable gastroenterologist with excellent bedside manners. He was very caring and took time to understand my problem in great detail and apart from giving medical therapy, he also explained the basis of my problem. I feel very reassured under his care and I was in a lot pain before I saw him. He addressed the problem medically but also gave a lot of confidence to help me take care of this problem in a wholesome manner. The University is very lucky to have a physician of this caliber.
