  • Carine completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Utah and her doctorate degree at the University of Washington in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track with an emphasis in Pediatrics. After completing her formal education, she moved to New York City where she worked at NYU Langone for a few years before finding her way back to her roots in the mountain west.

    Carine sees patients with a wide array of gastrointestinal issues at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and at Primary Children’s Layton Outpatient Services. She serves as a pediatric gastroenterology nurse practitioner, and her clinic interests primarily entail celiac disease and eosinophilic esophagitis. She has been involved in the development of Primary Children's first Celiac clinic. Carine currently runs the Celiac clinic which works to promote a multidisciplinary approach to Celiac care, helping advocate and provide resources for children and their families with a diagnosis of Celiac disease. Carine is a Utah Native and when she isn't at work her passions include playing tennis, volleyball, watching hockey, walking her dog or catching her next flight.
