Christine M. Warrick, MD

  • Dr. Warrick is an esteemed anesthesiologist specializing in obstetric anesthesiology. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2013. Following this, she completed residency in anesthesiology residency at the University of Utah and served as chief resident.     In 2018, Dr. Warrick joined the University of Utah as an Assistant Professor. By 2020, she was appointed the Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology and the Medical Director of Labor and Delivery for Anesthesia. In this role, she oversees approximately 5,000 deliveries annually. She played a pivotal role in the University of Utah achieving the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology Center of Excellence designation for two consecutive cycles. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023 in the Department of Anesthesiology.

    Dr. Warrick is a board-certified anesthesiologist and holds additional certification in advanced peri-operative transesophageal echocardiography. She has a strong committment to maternal and women's health and has established a high-risk obstetric anesthesia clinic at the University of Utah to enhance the care of pregnant patients in the peri-partum period or undergoing surgery or procedures.

    She has also contributed to the academic field through her involvement in various committees related to fetal surgery and management of placenta accreta spectrum disorders, and through numerous publications.
