Dr Garvin knows how to explain things to us in ways we understand- and he looks to notice if I understand or not. He knows the right questions to ask that help me not only under his question but hive an accurate answer. For example, does your son have any food preferences? And I would say well he's too. He loves candy. And most doctors would accept that as an answer, but Dr. Garvin goes further to say does he have a preference and texture? Does he have a preference and temperature or does he absolutely refuse xyz, and I know that my loved ones are getting exactly the care they need, even if they're kicking and screaming and running- and even if I ask a question about something completely out of left field. He is professional, yet personable, and genuine.

Doctor Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. Highly recommend!

Our experience with Dr. Garvin was not as positive as our experience with Vanessa. He almost immediately likened our challenges with breast-feeding to "trying to pull water from a dry well," which Is an incredibly tone deaf and offensive thing to say to someone who is struggling with milk production. The feedback he gave was also inconsistent with that of Vanessas, especially around some of the additional remedies that we could try, such as the use of fenugreek In its natural form via a pill form. Given the experience, we will not elect to see Dr. Garvin again, nor will we recommend him.

I am so glad we found Dr. Garvin. He is so patient, kind, and approachable. He always leads off with my concerns and never makes me feel silly about things I "should" know with my third baby-- I felt that a lot with past pediatricians. His calm demeanor helps me feel more calm about my kids' health, and we never feel rushed. We also appreciate each MA we've worked with--they have all been well-trained and compassionate. Add to that easy scheduling and access, along with no waits, and we've had a great experience each time with Dr. Garvin and his team.

Dr. Garvin is unlike any doctor I have ever experienced. He truly cares about his patients, he listens and goes out of his way to help. I am so grateful to have him taking care of my children.

He gave us recommendations during the visit of what types of OTC medication and dosage we could give our son, but I didn't think I'd be expected to write them down since I was holding my phone for the virtual visit (they should be documented on the AVS). After the visit I logged on to MyChart and there was literally nothing in the AVS other than something to the effect of "schedule another visit if condition worsens." The medication the doctor prescribed didn't have dosing information for a 5 year old, so we were very dependent on the doctor providing us that info. I sent a message through MyChart to ask for clarification on the exact meds and dosing and didn't hear back for two days. I was very disappointed in the whole process and am not happy we had to pay for that service. We're self-pay so that was a very expensive visit for poor service.
