Following residency he worked for several years at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Rhode Island while teaching residents and medical students at Brown University. Dan joined the University of Utah faculty in the Fall of 2023. His clinical interests include: lifestyle and obesity medicine, medication assisted treatment (MAT) of substance use disorder, and gender-affirming care. His interests outside of medicine include biking, hiking, camping, violin, singing, snowboarding, travel and hanging out with his wife and two daughters.

    Dr. Harris meets the mark on all the questions you asked. Coincidently, that's what I wrote in my previous answer. Those things are the most important. For example, I told Dr. Harris that I had a hard time taking my insulin at night. We jointly decided that mornings would be good and then he had me record my am blood sugar for five days to see how it was working. This happened because he listens and then addresses the medical issues with me in mind, that is much appreciated and increases compliance. Thank you Dr. Harrris.
