Daniel M. Harris, MD, FAAFP

Dan Harris, MD, FAAFP is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. He practices full-spectrum care including adult, pediatric, and prenatal care. He grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in family medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI. Following residency he worked for several years at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Rhode Island while teaching residents and medical students at Brown University. Dan joined the University of Utah faculty in the Fall of 2023. His clinical interests include: lifestyle and obesity medicine, medication assisted treatment (MAT) of substance use disorder, and gender-affirming care. His interests outside of medicine include biking, hiking, camping, violin, singing, snowboarding, travel and hanging out with his wife and two daughters.
