    Dr. Diane Liu received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Kravis Children’s Hospital of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Dr. Liu currently sees patients at University Pediatric Clinic and Sugar House Health Center.

    While in New York City, Dr. Liu lobbied for school-based health funding at the state level, and served as a health educator for school-based health programs in East Harlem. Dr. Liu cared for children with special health-care needs throughout the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, and helped form the first Accountable Care Organization (ACO) for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a demonstrated leader in quality improvement and champion for value-based care, Dr. Liu supports direction of the Johns Hopkins Value Innovation Teaching and Leadership Program. She is the Chief Value Officer for the Department of Pediatrics.

    As the Director of the Utah Pediatric Partnership to Improve HealthCare Quality, Dr. Liu directs implementation of and examines variation in evidence-based Pediatric care across community Pediatrics in the state of Utah.

    Dr. Liu’s clinical expertise includes preventative and acute care for infants, children, and adolescents including the promotion of vaccinations; providing comprehensive and coordinated care for NICU graduates and children with complex medical conditions; addressing mental health care in the primary care setting. Dr. Liu seeks to develop strong and lasting relationships with her patients and their caregivers. She appreciates the privilege of caring for children and values the trust from caregivers.

    I am L. H. and I am more than thrilled to recommend Dr Liu to any parent out there. She is very skilled experienced and very professional besides she is very thoughtful kind gentle and a great listener. My children loves to come to their appointment with Dr Liu she gives them the attention they deserve through out their visits. I have seen at first hand of Dr Lius loving tender care to my children her knowledge and skills are the best! And I command Dr. Liu and recommended her to anyone.
