Dr. Davidson is a Utah native and long-time faculty at the University of Utah. Dr. Davidson attended medical school at UU, and completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stanford University, as well as a Masters Degree in Biomedical Informatics while at Stanford. Dr. Davidson then completed fellowship training in Neuroradiology at UU, and subsequently joined the faculty in the Department of Radiology.

During his time at UU, Dr. Davidson has served as Executive Vice Chair in the Department of Radiology, as a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Utah Medical Group, as Radiology Residency Program Director, and as Chief of Radiology at the VA Salt Lake City Medical Center. Dr. Davidson is a Professor (Clinical) in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences

Dr. Davidson's clinical and research interests include head & neck imaging, particularly of the orbit, as well as medical informatics. Dr. Davidson has been a primary contributor of several textbooks from the Elsevier radiology reference series, and has contributed many peer-reviewed and review articles in the literature of his specialty.
