  • Heather Fellows, MHA, SCMT, MT-BC, is a nationally board-certified clinician and program developer for the music therapy program at Huntsman Cancer Institute. She graduated with her Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from Utah State University in 2000, after completing a 6-month clinical internship at Twin Valley Psychiatric System in Columbus, Ohio. Heather is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care Music Therapy (HPMT) and has worked with various populations including older adults, mental health, grief/loss and oncology. She has provided music therapy services, created programming, trained other music therapists, and developed music therapy programs for hospital systems in California and Utah. Heather came to Utah and UHealth in 2009, working on the inpatient psychiatric unit at University Hospital. She moved to Huntsman Cancer Institute in 2019, to help develop a new music therapy service at the Wellness and Integrative Health Center. In 2023, Heather graduated with her Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Utah. As a therapist and clinician for over 20 years, she is passionate about patient-centered care and person-centered connection. Heather is invested in providing quality, evidence-based treatment for her patients and in advocating for education and growth of the arts in healthcare.
