  • I received both my Bachelors in Nursing as well as my Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Utah. While there, I received the Deans Award for Outstanding Baccalaureate Student and received multiple scholarships during my Bachelor and Doctoral studies. In my nursing career, I have obtained several certifications in managing complex ICU patients, attended courses for handling acutely ill behavioral health patients, and have all of my basic nursing certifications.

Some of my special medical interests and concentrations include assisting my patients in improving cardiovascular health through exercise, diet, and medications when necessary. With my background in Psychiatry, I also encourage my patients to maintain their mental health through developing strong coping skills, utilizing medical resources and personal support systems, and trialing medications if indicated.

I became a Nurse Practitioner because of my fascination with biology, the human body, and how it all functions together. My medical philosophy is to work cooperatively with my patients to develop a comprehensive plan to improve their health and well-being. I believe in intervening early to help prevent disease before it begins. However, I also believe in using the least invasive means possible and strongly believe in my patients’ rights to autonomy and self-determination when managing their own health.

In my free time I enjoy running, snowboarding, boating, travelling, playing guitar, learning languages, and spending time with friends and family.

An outstanding Provider, knowledgeable in his field of care. He truly loves his patients, and care for their needs (health issues). He explained medical problems, the causes of it, and the treatments very clearly and easy to understand. Wonderful! Caring provider.
