Dr. Katherine Hastings is an extraordinary healthcare provider, far surpassing in her caring demeanor and broad knowledge anything I would normally expect from a busy doctor. With other providers, I have sometimes felt I am being given generic responses, which is pretty much a waste of both of our time. Dr. Hastings on the other hand seems to immediately intuit what my understanding might already be and quickly tailor her guidance accordingly, quickly getting to the point, while maintaining empathy. This is unique in my 22 years of experience at the Madsen.

Dr. Hastings was methodical and thoughtful in her responses to my questions regarding specific medications. Navigating this field of care for myself was somewhat daunting at first, but I am relieved to have clarity on what my options were and why we could consider pursuing each route.

Dr Hastings was fantastic! She presented several options we could try and respected my decision. She was informed, kind and personable. I'd recommend her to anyone!

I had been super hesitant about getting on a certain medication Dr. Hastings included me in the conversation made me feel comfortable about the decision.

Dr. Hastings in great. I was transferred to her when Dr. Curran (who was also amazing) left the Madsen and the transition has been seamless. I find Dr. Hastings very professional, but not overly stiff or formal. Shes easy to talk to, I absolutely feel that she listens to and hears me, and as a post-appointment googler- I've found her assessments and advice align with what the almighty internet has to say. Seriously, she's great. I couldn't be happier with my care.

Dr. Hastings is a kind, caring doctor. She always listens to my problems I have. She goes through the questions that she has and then she knows I have a list too. She listens and we both come up with a plan. I will never trade her for anyone else in the Primary Care Doctor position. She is dedicated, her life is always thinking about the patient. I get emails at all time of the evening. I have never had a dedicated doctor show so much care and concern. She needs to have a raise too.

She is so very great. She really cares and is extremely thorough!

Dr Hastings is the best. She is always looking out for me. She does care always. She answers MyChart emails sometimes late which is cool she cares so much. I am impressed and happy.

Dr. Hastings had a medical student that was working with her that day so I was seen by her first. she seemed a little nervous and a little unsure about things. Dr. Hastings came in after and talked to with me and went over treatment. But after that she asked how everything else was going on as I had seen her to get referrals and such for my chronic health conditions which I really appreciated and was surprised by.

I am very impressed with Dr. Hastings, and I think I'm probably fairly particular. She is amazing and her communication with me (listening and consideration) regarding my health and treatment was absolutely ideal.

Even though it was busy in the clinic and Dr. Hasting was running behind. She took the time to go over all my concerns and explained things clearly. She did not rush through the visit.

I've probably been to the ER or orthopedic more than I have a primary care physician in my adult life but this is by far the best experience I've had with a PCP.

Dr Hastings is a wonderful doctor she listens to me and after the doctor appointment she responds to my MyChart messages and we together figure out what we want to do. She is wonderful answering my messages in MyChart at 10:38 pm. Now that's a doctor that cares. She is my doctor forever

I feel very lucky to have Dr. Hastings as my PCP. Because she is so good at her job (works with expertise and empathy) I realize how important it is for everyone to have a PCP. She is able to provide excellent care herself and has no qualms about referring me when necessary.

Dr. Hastings was incredibly thoughtful and responsive. Even though it was a remote visit, I felt like she really tuned into our visit and connected.

Dr. Hastings made me feel very comfortable during my virtual appointment. I was very sad to hear my primary care doctor went on medical leave, but meeting with Dr. Hastings eased my mind for the future of my care with U Health.

Dr Katherine Hastings is an exceptional doctor, during the visit and after with me in the stairwell and to the waiting room of her office and then to an exam room to get me back into the original moment so I could leave. Julie and Dr Hastings both, thank you so much.

My above ratings are for Dr. Hastings. Dr. Hastings was efficient without feeling rushed. She made me feel like I had a say in my own care with regards to my request for labs and was very accommodating when I changed my mind and requested labs the next day. Was also impressed that she responded personally to MyChart message follow ups, usually that ends up being a resident, PA, or MA as proxy. Med student, Jacob (forgot his last name) was very thorough, but said "right on" a few times as an affirmative response to questions, which was a bit distracting. Other than that he was professional and thorough.
