Kathryn Silva, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant surgery, as well as hepatobiliary and general surgery. She provides expert inpatient care for transplant and advanced hepatobiliary patients and assists in complex surgical procedures.
Originally from New York, Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Fordham University in the Bronx. She then spent two years as a research technician at Columbia University, focusing on B cell immunology. She pursued her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Long Island University in Brooklyn, training at top NYC hospitals, including Bellevue Hospital, Coney Island Hospital, Maimonides Hospital, and The Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Since 2017, Kathryn has been an integral part of the Transplant and Advanced Hepatobiliary Surgery team in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has also earned the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) Advanced Transplant Provider Certificate of Educational Achievement, further solidifying her expertise in transplant surgery.
Outside of work, Kathryn is an avid outdoor enthusiast who takes full advantage of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. She enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, and even paragliding. She also loves traveling to new countries and spending quality time with friends and family.
