  • Kimberly Hansen, MD, FAAP, is an Assistant Professor of General Pediatrics at the University of Utah Health. Dr. Hansen is practicing at the University Pediatric Clinic and South Main Clinic, and is a community pediatrician with over 25 years of clinical experience. She is the Medical Director for the West High School Clinic. Dr. Hansen is interested in providing care to more diverse populations and in new clinical environments. Her experience includes: cared for medically fragile children with complex medical care needs; developed a mental health program with neuropsychological testing, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, crisis/suicide intervention, parenting/behavioral classes and medication management; worked in nurseries providing well baby care; provided nursery care for newborns requiring a higher level of intervention for respiratory distress, sepsis, cardiac illness and drug withdrawal; provided care for patients with acute and emergent illness and injury from newborn to young adult.
