Kira is such a wonderful doctor! I've never been good with going to the doctors after I had a really poor experience back in high school involving an abscess and bad ER situation. But having a doctor like Kira really matters! She listens and is extremely empathetic while also delving into the deeper issues and trying to help you solve them. I wish every doctor could be like Kira Whaley. She's extremely thorough and is great with acknowledging your concerns with the utmost care. I could go on and on about how much my life has changed since Kira took over for my previous doctor. I even switched insurances so that I could continue having her as my care provider. Anyway, she's awesome as usual! :)

Dr. Whaley (Kira) matched her energy to mine and I loved that. She was upbeat and friendly, listened and set my mind at ease with the whole getting older issues I am having. Gave me some tips and tricks about very private and personal matters that, crazy enough, I felt comfortable talking to her about. I am grateful because I have been struggling alone and in silence and now I know, she has my best interest in my physical and mental health. I truly encourage those who struggle talking about personal matters to see her. She had me laughing and that meant the world to me. I don't even think she understands the impact her compassion, laughter, listening skills and talking to you like she has known you for years made such a difference.

Kira was almost an hour late to our appointment after I had been trying for a week to reach her for help regarding withdrawal symptoms from a medication she has been overseeing for me for the last 4 months. Kira denied my refill request for a medication, at which point neither her or her office communicated to me. When I learned from my pharmacy the request was denied, I reached out to her office for a week to try to receive support for either refilling my prescription or helping me with the withdrawal symptoms. Overall, my experience has communicated that this office is understaffed and overbooked - leading to patient care being extremely compromised.

Kira has always been great. She listens to my concerns while still caring to make sure that my health is a concern we focus on. She is very easy to talk to which is HUGE for me. I have had providers that make it impossible to tell them how you're doing, what you're going through and what you need to help, but she makes it very easy. My last provider actually gave me so much anxiety going to appointments that I was relieved when they left and I got to choose a new provider.

For what was discussed, the visit went fine. However, the mixed up addressing of issues from MyChart means I didn't get all of my medical questions answered. Rating of 5 is true because I realize that due to efficiency, there is only so much time per patient.

I had a referral to meet with this doctor. After about waiting for an hour over my appointment time the doctor logged on. She had not looked at my chart and really had no idea why I was there. Everything she told me the previous doctors had already told me. I left the appointment feeling very frustrated that I had wasted my time going to this appointment.

I was at the appointment for an annual physical. Provider was rushed and didn't ask about my health at all. Didn't ask if there was anything else I wanted to talk about or any other concerns I had. Insurance covers 1 annual physical per year and I feel like mine was wasted on a quick appointment without covering my concerns.

I love that I was able to get labs done immediately for my health concerns without even having to ask for them to get done. However I did feel like I was a little bit brushed under the rug, the visit with the provider felt rushed and it made me feel like she was just trying speed things up to get me out of there. It probably was 100% my anxiety. Overall I'd see the provider again. Only thing I'd change, is that I personally like to have eye contact with my provider when discussing my concerns, as it just puts me a little more at ease.
