Her general surgery residency was done at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, which was followed by a two-year fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She obtained her board certification in hospice and palliative medicine in 2012 at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Lambert joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 2018. Her main clinical focus is the surgical management of peritoneal carcinomatosis and the use of hyperthermic (heated) intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). She has published and spoken extensively on HIPEC as well as the surgeon’s role in comprehensive palliative care.
