Mary takes time to explain diagnoses and their implications as well as to answer questions. During my first visit with her, I felt seen and respected as an individual. She was also prompt in following up with my referring provider about a treatment plan.

This wasn't my first bone marrow, bone biopsy. I've had three three thus far. It was however my first without sedation. Mary was amazing and communicative through the whole procedure, checking to make sure I was comfortable and enduring minimal pain. A plus to her and her skills on the day.

She was very patient and chose to give me a few min to calm down after my body was having a small reaction to the local anethestic. After a few min I was fine and was able to continue the procedure. I am so grateful she wasnt more worried about her schedule than me. She chose to put me first and give me the time I needed and thusly the rest of the biopsy was very tolerable (but would have been very hard if she had hurried me along) Thank you for being patient and carrying about your patients well-being.

On this particular visit on October 27th for a lumbar puncture I was extremely disappointed in how three different providers tried to do the LP. I almost passed out twice. It was causing me severe pain. They didn't have enough sterile dressings to cover my back but kept going anyway. A week later and I have still been in a lot of pain in my back from them trying over and over.
There are no words for the care I get from Mary. She is not only an amazing provider, but also an amazing human. I can never be grateful enough that my care is in her hands. Thank you for having people like her. Words just don't suffice when it comes to Mary.
Since these tests were investigative there was no discussion of treatments at this stage.

I think the most impressionable characteristic of my visit was how well every treatment or procedure was explained beforehand. I know what to expect in every instance, at least those parts I understood. The care providers took extra care to make sure every question was answered to my satisfaction. I really appreciated how recommendations on treatment were proposed rather than forcefully declared.
