Dr. Pavalan Selvam is a combined Pediatrics and Medical genetics resident at University of Utah health. He cares for children in the newborn through adolescent periods at the University Pediatric Clinic. He completed his medical degree and post graduate training in medical genetics from India. His passion for medical genetics started back in 2013. His career interests include identifying new and existing treatment modalities like gene therapies and small molecular pathway modulators for patients with RASopathies, vascular malformations, neuromuscular and genetic movement disorders. During his free time he enjoys birding and wildlife photography.
