ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING Dr. Rushton is hands-down the best doctor I've ever seen. This was truly the best medical experience of my life, and it was my first visit with him. I was extremely hesitant and embarrassed to seek care for toenail debridement. I originally came in because my feet were hurting'especially my left ankle, which I had injured at work a few weeks earlier'and I honestly dreaded the visit. Until I met Dr. Rushton. Then everything changed. Without any fanfare, and while casually talking through shoe inserts, Dr. Rushton completely preserved my dignity and somehow magically made my toenails look human again. The professionalism, kindness, and ease with which he handled everything were remarkable. The impact didn't stop there'later, when I went to get X-rays of my feet, I wasn't even uncomfortable having them seen. That alone says everything. If you are nervous, embarrassed, or putting off foot care, don't. Dr. Ryan Rushton is a incredible physician, Highly recommend him!

COVID caused us to part ways. After a bit of digging, we were able to reconnect this year. I was pleased that he remembered me. The appointment doesn't take very long, it's generally a check-up for any complications from diabetes. With my excellent care team, I have no complications. I do enjoy the pedicure, though.

I was told by two other providers that surgeries would be required. Dr. Rushton carefully explained to me why I would not benefit from surgery, and he gave me several other conservative treatment options. This brought great peace of mind to me, and now I can move forward without the worries that surgery can bring.

This was my first time seeing a Podiatrist. Dr Rushton was fantastic. He had a Medical Stufent with him so they looked over my MRI scans together but then turned them toward me to explain and show me what was happening with my toe. He explained in detail the 2 treatment options and allowed me to decide what I wanted to do. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. He sent me home with paperwork of what to do for treatment and wrote notes on it too. He made me feel very comfortable and gave me the control over my treatment. Highly recommend.

Dr. Rushton has been my podiatrist for a number of years. In October I had back surgery and terrible foot pain due to a hammer toe that was equal or more painful than the surgery. I decided it was time to consider amputation so that I might finally be out of pain. He willingly gave me a referral on 19th January 2023.
Dr. Rushton thoroughly communicated my care options to me in a way that helped me better understand the issue I've been facing. He partnered with me to make the best decision for my life and personal values.
I love going to Dr. Rushton he's always so kind and patient and he's willing to take the time to answer any questions I might have. He's become so busy that his appointments are getting harder to come by, I'm still willing to drive out of my way to visit his office.

Dr. Rushton was very professional and attentive - he quickly understood my reasons for seeing him and was quick to come up with a treatment recommendation, explaining how changes in the field have changed the recommended treatments since I last saw a podiatrist. He took the time to explain my condition thoroughly and ensure that I understood the signs of it becoming more serious and when I should return for further care. I appreciated his taking the time to make sure I fully understood everything.

Dr. Rushton is a good doctor. I had liked him in the past. But he's the only foot Dr at the University Hospital. He's hard to get in to see. He was kind to explain his concerns to me about my insurance. But was so busy explaining my insurance that he didn't hear my concerns about my feet! I tried to tell him about a painful calus I have and he just said uh huh and went on talking about my Insurance. I am grateful he did, but I needed answers on my feet. I could of pushed harder but felt I couldn't.

I was concerned of mom's varicose veins as the veins have turned dark. The doctor suggested to use compression socks but mom found it hard when she used in the past.

You need to hire more podiatrists
Dr. Rushton did a very good job at explaining everything in a manner that I could understand and he made sure I was clear on everything before I left.
Dr. Rushton was phenomenal!! He addressed all of my issues and concerns and set up orders for x-ray and then ultrasound if x-ray didn't show definitive results. I was VERY impressed and happy with the care I received.

He was very thorough in explaining what was wrong with my toe- sent me for an x-ray right then to confirm- and how best to treat it (even went as far as providing me with shoe brands that would be best). He answered all of my questions very clearly. I didn't at all feel like he was in a rush to get me out the door even though my appt was late on a Friday. I would definitely recommend him- although I don't want to for fear of him getting even busier!
