The level of care and "bedside" manner provided by Dr Bertoch and Abram is exceptionally high. I am a healthcare provider as well. Their demeanor is some of the best I've seen in the over 25 years I've been in practice. Dr. Bertoch is friendly, kind, empathetic, a good listener, communicates well and you can tell he loves his profession. He and his staff create an environment of a caring, connection and a closeness not often seen in medicine today.
My only issue was the amount of time it took to schedule an appt. It took 2 months. My PCP also sent over pictures when she sent the referral and apparently no one had seen them. A tele-derm program would be helpful to reduce wait times.

Dr. Bertoch and his staff were terrific. First time I had a doctor ask me what kind of music I wanted to listen to as he performed the procedure. That relaxed me more than he probably realized. At the end of the visit, he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call if I had any questions or concerns. Sometimes it's the littlest things that make the visit top-notch!
Very impressed with Dr. Spencer Bertoch. First visit with Dr. Bertoch. Notably, the dermatology skin exam he performed was more extensive, careful, and had more useful commentary to the patient than previous dermatology providers I have seen. And, extremely pleased that Dr. Bertoch personally phoned me to discuss biopsy results. Other providers delegate fairly minor calls like this and he did not.that says a lot to me.

I have been going to Dr. Bertoch for about a year to try and get my hands under control. He has been very patient, knowledgeable, and informative through the process. I would recommend this practice.
I was so impressed with Dr. Bertoch and his assistant. I have been coming to the Midvalley Clinic for years and had become discouraged that I would never have answers for why my skin has the problems it has, and I would just be dealing with symptom management for the rest of my life. Unfortunately I have had a few bad experiences with other doctors that were not good listeners and who were condescending when I asked questions. So when I went in to Dr. Bertoch I was discouraged and prepared to skip over my lengthy history and just jump to asking for my prescriptions to be renewed. The technician was very keen and picked up on my hesitation and kept pressing me for more history, followed by Dr. Bertoch. They were then able to let me know that there had been some advances in an area that they thought might be linked to my symptoms and encouraged me to come back for more testing. They really helped me feel validated and that there was no reason to give up hope of finding answers. I really appreciated it and will certainly request Dr. Bertoch at my next appointment. Of course, once word gets out he will be booked out for months like Eliason and Powell.
