  • Dr. Tyler Clark, MD is an Assistant Professor and Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine specialist in the University of Utah’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Ryder Trauma Center. He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of Texas Health San Antonio, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    Dr. Clark’s areas of clinical and research interest include the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic spine and musculoskeletal disorders including disc herniation and degeneration, osteoporotic compression fractures of the spine, spine arthritis pain, spinal stenosis, sacroiliac joint pain, vertebrogenic pain, large peripheral joint pain, muscle overuse injuries and patient-reported outcomes related to return to function and sport after treatment. He enjoys optimizing patient outcomes and function throughout advanced pain management techniques including kyphoplasty, spinal cord stimulation, basivertebral nerve ablation (Intracept), and peripheral nerve stimulation. He collaborates closely with orthopedic and neurosurgical spine specialists, as well as physical therapists, to deliver comprehensive care.

    Dr. Clark is originally from Spokane, Washington and enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children, playing sports, mountain biking, learning about wilderness medicine, camping, making Thai food, and snow and water skiing.
