Dr. Scaife was a superb teacher during my examination. While MY care was her focus, you could tell that she was modeling what she wanted her resident to learn both medically and personally. That's a rare combination from my experience. She carefully went through the diagnosis, options and then let us decide. We opted to delay surgery in favor of follow-up. Her obvious comfort with our choice greatly relieved us and she will make arrangements to confer with our updated examination in 6 months.

Dr Scaife is one of the most impressive MDs I have ever met, and I have met some of the best MDs in NYC. She showed me pictures and drawings of my condition, coupled with explanations, which helped me understand my condition better than I have ever understood it before. She also summarized the evolution of the science on how my condition should be treated, together with a decision tree that was very easy to understand. I came away with a much better understanding of my condition and the risks and benefits of various treatment and surgical options.

She preformed a difficult procedure of removing my cancer and gall bladder, the cancer being in the dueodeum and blocking the drainage of the liver, pancreas and gallbladder. When I woke up, she had surrounded the surgery opening with a novacain drip, so i suffered very little pain. She is a God Sent Surgeon!!!!!
