Dr. Smith's Nurse was exceptional. I required some physical adaptation to their equipment due to physical limitations to complete a necessary procedure. His Nurse listened to me carefully, and had the proper equipment already available since Dr. Smith had her previously order it in case they needed it for any of their future patients. To me this was incredible since other doctors I have visited in the past had nothing of the sort available so their patients would be as comfortable is possible. i'm pretty sure that this Doctor is one of the coolest and most relatable Doctors in the City of Salt Lake, we need more of him, and the Nurse and Tech the worked with and prepared me for the process before i met the Doctor were the best as well, i have nothing but high praise for the entire staff in and outside of the precedure room, the whole team those in the room and waiting outside at the big desk, as i left i had sense that like me, they were all from Chicago, especially the Tech, he Nurse and Dr, even if they arent from Chicago they all made me feel at ease and home as i start this part of my journey, i am knowh by Chicago, i am from Chicago and i live on a street named Chicago a year before i moved into the house i stay at, i looked at my house, my neighbor and her getting in her car, i truly believe that none of us met by chance, God, the universe, destiny, whatever you call it, made sure that i had a great experience at the university hospital

Dr. Smith was fantastic. I had a vasectomy. He was informative, and professional, but also easy-going, relatable, relaxed and down-to-earth. He answered all of my questions, and then just made the whole process easy and low-stress. I could just chat with him the whole time about an assortment of topics -- even considering the fact that this was all happening during a procedure on a very sensitive and private body part. The procedure went great. I only took one preventative acetaminophen afterward while driving home, and I haven't needed any meds for pain since then (now 3 days later).

I have felt a little bit like the Guinea pig during my sessions. For each of my procedures I have had other people present, trainees I suppose. Then on this last appointment the nurse that did the procedure was one of the trainees that had been present previously. She was very nice - but it seemed like this may have been her first procedure. It also seemed like my visit was unexpected. Everything went fine and I trust she will become more comfortable doing the procedure. The whole experience with the delay and the nurses newness to the procedure made me feel a little awkward.

Black and white the difference from the doctor I sent in utah county. When I left there I felt like I was in good hands.
I felt the doctor was rushed. I felt very comfortable with him as a doctor and his, knowledge and ability but I felt he was rushing to get to another patient. Felt very good of his capabilities. His support staff were great.
I felt as though my options mattered in the treatment decisions. My questions answered in a way I could understand

Dr. Smith was thorough, explained my condition to me in detail and outlined my treatment plan. He did it all with a sense of humor which made the experience much more relaxed and enjoyable.
One of my issues was not addressed / readily dismissed - that is, the interaction of my stroke on the neurological effects of Erectile Disfunction.
I already have recommended this facility to a friend and took him there in person.

THE DR WAS A BIT BRASH AND SPOKE LOUDLY. HIS KNEES WERE SHAKING THE ENTIRE TIME IN A NERVOUS SORT OF WAY. HIS EXPLANATIONS WERE VERY GOOD, BUT HE MADE ME A BIT UNCOMFORTABLE WITH HIS MANNERISMS AND LOUD VOICE.

Dr. Smith was great. He took quite a bit of time explaining what options I had to treat my issue and gave me the choice of how to proceed. He was direct in a good way, he told a straight story and didn't try and give false hopes.

The care provider doesn't really say anything about benefits and treatment that I'm getting and how long I will have the treatment. I even get a request for a refill of a medicine and I don't even get that.
We wish the services were located closer to our home. We had thought of changing to some other provider but decided on the spot, having been treated so well over almost a year, to stay with the same situation and made another appointment for six months forward.

This was probably the best experience I have ever had with a provider. I truly felt he cared about helping me even when it took more time than normal. I never felt rushed. What an incredible doctor!
I think Dr. Smith is very, very good at what he does. He is very approachable, listens well and inspires confidence in his medical decisions.
I asked Dr. Smith which procedure he would have, and although his answer was not the one I was favoring, his explanation was because his life situation was clearly different than mine.

Additionally, we discussed possible treatment options, and Doctor Smith was very detailed in describing and explaining these options. Overall, I really appreciate the way Doctor Smith handled my appointment.

I had never dealt with kidney stones or a nephrostomy tube before. I was having pain and other weird things happening that are normal, but I didn't know this. Both the MA (Conner) and Dr. Smith were very helpful and kind to me. Dr. Smith reassured me that everything was within normal range, and told me to ask any questions I needed answers to to feel better. I am so glad everything was normal and that he took the time for this appointment because I left feeling a lot better about my situation.
