My recommendation of Dr. Scaife is based on the stomach surgery on Aug. 3, 2015, not the follow up visit. When she said I had to have visits every year for the next four, I was too startled to ask "why" as the surgery showed no sign of cancer.

UofU Patient September 05, 2015

amazing doctor that really does want to help

UofU Patient August 25, 2015

My physician is excellent at what she does; however, I waited well over an hour in the exam room to be seen by her; when she finally came in, she was done with me in less than 10 minutes; I was annoyed and just wanted to hurry up and be done and out of there.

UofU Patient August 23, 2015

there are actually 3care providers on the team. The surgeon was articulate, comforting me that team would work together. but I was given conflicting messages about my care. One said I would have surgery, the chemo administrator said I would not. one said I would have pain medication and nausea medication to take before the chemotherapy but the chemo provider said not. one said it was a slow growing cancer another said it was aggressive.

UofU Patient August 23, 2015

I would recommend Dr. Scaife always. She is an amazing surgeon. I have total confidence in her and her team.

UofU Patient August 17, 2015

UofU Patient January 27, 2015

Totally loved them all and have told several family and friends how pleased we are. Dr Scaife made sure we understood everything and drew lots of pictures to explain what she was saying. I am so blessed to have her as my surgeon.

UofU Patient January 13, 2015

I have been very impressed with Dr Scaife, Dr Wright and everyone at Huntsman. Thank you!

UofU Patient January 12, 2015

This Doctor was amazing (that's why she works at the Huntsman Center). I felt so good about surgery, she went over my scans, had pictures of her own, highlighted area's of concern, and so on and so forth. I was about to leave the clinic after the welcome i received, but the doctor restored all my confidence that i was getting real care.

UofU Patient December 24, 2014

Stacie the PA did a thorough evaluation of my husband then consulted with Dr. Scaife who was in the OR, then facilitated the tests ordered, even walking us to the lab.

UofU Patient December 13, 2014

excellent and friendly dedicationof of everybody

UofU Patient December 11, 2014

Very good experience

UofU Patient December 01, 2014

We didn't talk about medication or any follow-up care. Surgery is scheduled, and follow-up care will come after that I am sure. We were both very impressed with Dr. Sciafe and her assistant.

UofU Patient December 01, 2014

Dr. Scaife is the best person and Dr. that anyone could ever hope to have!

UofU Patient November 21, 2014

Dr. Scaife and Dr. Adler were great. Felt so confident and secure with all of their information and treatment plan. They were amazing. Dr Adler even called my home several days later to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. It really meant a lot to me. Can't tell you how happy I was with the whole experience

UofU Patient November 18, 2014

Both my surgery and all subsequent follow up appointments have been just great. I've visited many medical care facilities and Huntsman is by far the most professional and enjoyable by far. That's saying a lot of the place that one goes to with cancer.

UofU Patient October 26, 2014

Dr. Scaife gives me 100% confidence in her work.

UofU Patient October 23, 2014

Dr. Scaiff is one of the most comforting, sweet, and great listener EVER! Not only is she a top notch Doctor and knows her stuff....but she takes all the time in the world to answer questions, listen, comfort, give hope and give hugs to a really scared patient! Brandi is also the BEST ever. She gets down to a personal level and makes me feel good. I love talking with her. I LOVE them both!!!!

UofU Patient October 18, 2014

UofU Patient August 12, 2014

dismissive, abrupt, not personable. consultation felt rushed

UofU Patient August 11, 2014

Dr Scaife was excellent as well as her assistant Stacey.

UofU Patient August 09, 2014

Dr. Scaife is an excellent, very knowledgable medical provider. She is the very best and so is her team. My experiences since the first time I met her and her team have been the best. After waiting for many years she was able to explain to me what was happening to my pancreas and recommended surgery in December 2012. I had surgery on January 7,2013.It has given me, my life back.

UofU Patient June 25, 2014

excellent care

UofU Patient June 05, 2014

The whole team is excellent!

UofU Patient May 17, 2014

Told not to take aspirin until after surgery but then told to take it.

UofU Patient March 24, 2014

It was a great visit. I totally understand what she proposes for my surgery and feel so much more at ease and calm about it. I know that I am in good hands.

UofU Patient February 19, 2014

UofU Patient January 13, 2014

Dr. Scaife always made sure that I knew about everything that was happening and made sure I understood well enough to make informed decisions about my care.

UofU Patient December 26, 2013

very pleased and thankful.

UofU Patient December 16, 2013

I can't imagine more comforting people and environment to learn a not especially welcome, though not unexpected prognosis.

UofU Patient December 02, 2013

I had some concerns that were bothering me about my surgery and monitoring of my illness. Dr. Scaife was very thorough in answering my questions. She alleviated many of the fears I have, and she set up a monitoring program for every six months that will help us keep track of the disease progression.

UofU Patient December 02, 2013

The doctors were very knowedgeable and explained every thing to us. They answered all of our questions and were very understanding.

UofU Patient November 18, 2013

This was the first visit to this doctor- I'm sure it will get better as there will be more visits- I would like to be informed of any procedure that is going to be performed while I am at the Huntsman- ie- taking biopsies etc.

UofU Patient November 04, 2013

Doc did well. Made time to see me and took time with me once I was there

UofU Patient October 18, 2013

I would recommend this Dr. because she is a Cancer Dr. but I would inform them be prepared to have a long wait.

UofU Patient September 25, 2013

My answers say it all. Very good.

UofU Patient August 27, 2013

All were great.

UofU Patient August 05, 2013

She is an outstanding care provider

UofU Patient June 04, 2013

Having my daughter and husband with me at these appointments was important to me, because they hear things that I don't and they ask questions that I might not think of. My daughter is a nurse and can understand a lot of things that might go right over my head.

UofU Patient May 31, 2013

great information, attitudes and care

UofU Patient May 19, 2013

Dr. Scaife is the best.

UofU Patient March 12, 2013

Excellent care and a suprising second opinion that required a lot of conversation. Our PA and doctor took plenty of time and gave excellent explainations.

UofU Patient January 22, 2013

Dr, Courtney Scaife is a wonderful doctor. She has explained things about the pancreas and my condition like no one before had. She is very efficient and very caring. I appreciate her and her medical team who care for me at the hospital during pancreatic surgery very much.

UofU Patient January 15, 2013

Dr. Scaife is an excellent physican.

UofU Patient December 31, 2012

Very kind an informative

UofU Patient December 19, 2012

Dr. Scaife was awesome. The NP didn't answer my questions and wasn't very personable

UofU Patient December 04, 2012

Put me at ease She is a very competant surgeon.

UofU Patient December 04, 2012

The attention I received was excellent, but because the appointment was out of order (done before the biopsy was scheduled), I wasn't able to get questions answered or a diagnosis or any idea of prognosis. The waiting and wondering is the most difficult part of this ordeal.

UofU Patient November 19, 2012

We wont be seeing the Doctor again she was great but chose to find another doctor closer to home the experience is no longer worth the drive.

UofU Patient August 11, 2012

I am always satisfied with Dr. Scaife's service and that includes Stacie Carbine! :-)

UofU Patient July 17, 2012

I am very impressed with Dr. Scaife. She is all anyone could hope for in a surgeon. She dosen't make you feel rushed and takes all the time necessary to explain the situation to you,so that you can understand it. She is wonderful and I feel fortunate to have her as my Dr. and Surgeon.

UofU Patient July 16, 2012

I would recommend Dr. Scaife and her staff to anyone. They are super plus team.

UofU Patient January 28, 2012

helped us feel more comfortable about a not so pleasant situation

UofU Patient January 28, 2012

I was diagnosed with cancer three months ago and have seen 10 doctors. Every time I left a doctor's office everything was unclear and pending. Finally!!! I got answers, explanations and the care I have been looking for. When my family and I left the clinic we were all thrilled with the the best experience we have had. Dr. Scaife talked to us and explained everything in terms we could understand. She was so thorough that I felt every question I had been looking for answers to had been answered.
