  • Amber Mackey, DO, Assistant Professor (Clinical), earned her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine. She initially trained as a psychiatrist at the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada, and subsequently worked as a psychiatrist at Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, UT before opening her own practice at Mountain Metta Psychiatry in Clearfield, UT. Doctor Mackey is interested in helping people lead fulfilling lives, as well as advancing the field of psychiatry through research and educating medical students and trainees. Dr. Mackey has also trained as an integrative Psychiatrist at the Integrative Psychiatric Institute in Boulder, CO. Her passions include music, yoga, and meditation, and she believes strongly that treating mental illness involves all aspects of treatment and lifestyle changes. Dr. Mackey is board-certified in Psychiatry and is pleased to be a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and a clinical provider at the University of Utah's Huntsman Mental Health Institute.
